In a world where magic beasts run rampant and the powerful Mage bloodlines rule over everyone else with an iron fist, Satsi’s father is killed by one such beast, sending him into a craze for revenge. Now Satsi, a mage exiled for his failure to awaken his bloodline, must hunt and kill the beast using a magic thought to be extinct or his father will never be avenged and countless people, including his childhood love, will die from revolutionaries using the beast as a weapon.
